As a child I knew I wanted to be a FAMOUS artist. Throughout my years in college I wanted to be a fine artist. In my mind that looked like showing my work in galleries and before I died to have my work immortalized in a museum. My futile dreams were pulverized when one of my professors handed me one of Beatrix Potter’s little books. That moment shifted my values in art making. I discovered real value in artmaking is creating stories that are joyful, honest, and relatable.
