Sarah loves visiting a little country park called Wepre Woods. It’s a fun place to be (especially when it snows).
"They are about a visit i made with my grandma to the Tule tree in Oaxaca, Mexico, when i was a girl. This tree is famous as it is supposed to be the widest tree in the world. Also, you can find some animal shapes (with a bit of imagination) on the tree trunk."
"When I graduated college, my mom brought my sister and me to England to see family, followed by a trip to Venice. It was AMAZING!"
This is a memory I have at age 14 of myself and my younger cousin trying to build a sand castle with a insanely windy conditions at the beach.
Since I spent a few months abroad this year, I decided to go with Venice. It’s not the most unique place I visited, but I absolutely did love this place. And I decided to use animals instead of humans.
"This is inspired by a mangrove estuary on the Wild Coast of South Africa, where we grew up as kids and still go today. We used to jump off the jetties to go swimming and our crazy dog, Jaws, would follow us enthusiastically wherever we went."
"The inspiration for this illustration came from a hiking trip that I did together with my friends in Nepal in the fall of 2023. It was a hike in the Manaslu region where we had stayed in many different tea houses and also had a chance to walk alongside a small group of working women of different ages, young and old, carrying bushel of wood up the mountain during one of our hiking days.
This illustration is to showcase the joy in a simple moment as the one shared by the lady and the kid in the rustic yet beautiful setting of Nepal’s countryside."
