I'm Maitane, an illustrator and designer from northern Spain. 



Ever since I was young, I've been fascinated by art and creativity. I picked up a paintbrush at the age of five, and it quickly became clear to me that drawing and coloring were my true passions.


During my time studying Design and Illustration at university, I stumbled upon Children's Books Illustration and instantly fell in love with the idea of bringing stories to life through cute and joyful characters.


My inspiration comes from nature and the excitement of adventures. I enjoy creating stories with brave characters and colorful worlds that capture the imagination of young readers and inspire them to be bold and adventurous.


Texture and colours are very important to me, drawing from my background in traditional arts. I like to add depth to my illustrations by incorporating charcoal and pastel-like textures and patterns.


Ultimately, my goal is to encourage kids to embrace their adventurous side, cherish friendships, and enjoy the outdoors. I hope that my illustrations inspire them to explore, create, and have fun!
